Most spiders are actually beneficial to
have around your property. They help
keep other insect populations down.
The Brown Recluse, also called the
"fiddleback" or "violin" spider, is
yellowish brown with a violin-shaped
mark. It is usually found secluded in
transported materials. Most bites come
from simply brushing up against the
spider.
Wolf spiders are large, hairy, quick
moving spiders. Their bites can be very
painful.
The Black Widow is common in crawl
spaces, trash piles, window wells,
garages, sheds, gardens, etc... The male
is not dangerous to pets or humans, but
the female is. Look for a shiny black
spider about 1/2" long, with a red hour
glass mark on the underside.
