According to studies, if you have 23
mice in your house, you will have 2,100
mice within a year due to their rapid
reproduction rates.

According to the National Park Service,
both mice & rats can carry the Hanta
Virus. Although this disease is rare, it is
carried in feces, urine and saliva of the
rodent, and has a fatality rate of about
38% if contracted. It is essential to
control rodent populations in order to
avoid spreading the disease.

Roof rats prefer enclosed spaces in
attics, walls and cabinets. Keeping trees
trimmed and away from the roof can
help eliminate their access to your
house.

The
Norway rat is more aggressive than
the roof rat. It prefers to burrow in the
ground.

Although similar in behavior to
moles,
gophers present a more serious
problem. Damage is most severe in the
spring and fall when gophers are active
near the ground surface. Gophers like to
eat roots, seeds, bulbs and other plant
parts in landscape settings, and they eat
approximately 60% of their body weight
per day. Mounds and holes are a big
problem for people and animals walking
and an impediment to mowing
equipment.
